These terms cover your use of OverlandSetup.com. They are written to be read rather than to be impressive, because a terms page nobody can follow protects nobody. Using the site means you accept what follows.
What this site is
A reference and buying guide for vehicle-based power systems and overland equipment. It publishes free calculators, reference charts, gear comparisons and complete build lists at different budgets. Everything is researched from published manufacturer specifications, verified owner reviews and technical documentation. We do not test equipment in person, and every page says so.
The calculators are planning aids, not certifications
This is the clause that matters most here. The battery bank, solar array, wire gauge, fusing and inverter tools apply standard published formulas correctly, and they will get you to a sound design. They cannot see your actual installation.
A wire gauge result assumes clean terminations, a known run length, a stated ambient temperature and correct connectors. Change any of those and the safe answer changes. A 12V DC system at high current is a genuine fire risk: undersized wire, a missing fuse at the source, or a poor crimp can start a vehicle fire. Have any lithium or high-current installation inspected by a qualified installer before you depend on it, and treat every figure here as an input to that conversation rather than a substitute for it.
